Smartphone Cooling in your Car!

Whoa, this is cool! No pun intended…

For 2016, Chevrolet has introduced a nifty new feature called Active Phone Cooling. This feature will be available on the 2016 Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, Volt and Cruze models that are equipped with the wireless charging option.

Most smartphones have built-in thermal protection features to protect battery life, but that protection – which can cause the phone to pause charging or turn off until it has cooled down – is inconvenient for drivers on the road who rely on their smartphones for streaming music, navigation or receiving phone calls.

What does Active Phone Cooling do? An air vent connected directly to the car’s air conditioning and ventilation system is directed to the charging bin where the phone rests for wireless charging, sending cool air to help lower the phone’s temperature. Active Phone Cooling operates only when the HVAC system is turned on by the driver.

  • Chevrolet MyLink with an 8 inch touch screen is available on LT and Hybrid Models and standard on Premier model
  • Chevrolet MyLink with navigation is available with 8 inch MyLink system and features three dimensional maps.
  • OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot is standard on all models (includes 3 month/3GB data trial – whichever comes first)

The styling on the all-new Malibu is similar in many ways to the 2014 Impala. It’s sleek, elongated and shows off the dual-port grille. Contemporary lighting is a strong characteristic and includes light-emitting diode (LED daytime running lamps available on LT and Premier Models). The Malibu Premier also includes LED taillamps. With so much to offer, there is no doubt you will want to take this vehicle for a test-drive when it hits our showroom floor in the late fall of this year.

Get Behind The Wheel And Donate to The Walk to Fight Arthritis

Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC will be holding our “Drive for a Cause” event on May 10th and 11th, 2013 at our Queenston on the Mountain dealership.  This event will provide individuals the opportunity to support a great cause and test drive one of our exciting 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicles.  These vehicles include: the re-designed Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Malibu, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia, as well as, the new Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore.

For each test drive taken during the two day event, Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC will donate $25 to The Arthritis Society on behalf of that individual. The dealership’s goal for this event is to donate $4,500.Small Logo

Drive For a Cause – Queenston on Centennial and Queenston on the Mountain

Queenston Chevrolet on Centennial and Queenston on the Mountain will be holding the “Drive For a Cause” event on December 13, 14 and 15, 2012.  This event will provide individuals the opportunity to test drive one of our exciting 2013 Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicles including; the re-designed Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia as well as the 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, Spark and Buick Verano and make a donation to Hamilton Food Share.  This is a fun opportunity to get behind the wheel and donate to our community.  For each test drive taken during the 3 day event, Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC will donate $25 to Hamilton Food Share on the behalf of that individual.
