2017 Honda Civic, Accord, and Pilot

          Honda decided to revamp their infamous Honda Civic for the 2017 model, including a new gun metal option for rims, as well as, the hatchback body style. Honda continues to improve its top notch quality, affordable pricing, and great value. At the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards, Honda took home four awards for its three successful sedans: the civic, accord, and pilot. The 2017 Honda Accord was kept plain and simple compared to its 2016 model. Visually it looks almost identical, and specifications wise, it is quite similar as well. However, if the specs are the same and the visuals are the same, what’s new? Well with the new Accord, Honda released a new Sport Special Edition which consumers are raving about. This new Sport Edition gives consumers an option for a fast, high quality, inexpensive, sports car. With 189Hp and 2.4L engine, the accord SE (Sport Edition) can generate some power comparing to its base model counterpart.

Lastly, the Pilot: Honda went a similar route with the pilot as they did for the Accord, plain and simple. Like the Accord, visually, the new 2017 Pilot looks very similar if not identical to the 2016 model. However, on the inside there is a multitude of changes; a variety of new interior colours to choose from, new multi-touch display system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and much more. The Pilot is just another example of a safe, comfortable, and affordable car that consumers can rely on.

2015 Honda Fit Earns IIHS Top Safety Pick!

It’s been a long wait, but the 2015 Honda Fit is almost here, with a scheduled arrival date of September 19th! Just when we thought this vehicle couldn’t get any better, the 2015 Honda Fit earns a 2014 Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Receiving “Standout Choice” in the subcompact segment, the Fit received a top rating of “Good” in four IIHS crash test modes as well as an “Acceptable” score in the IIHS small overlap frontal crash test. The Fit is the only vehicle in its class ever to have received this high of a rating in this IIHS test procedure.

Honda, McLaren And The FIA Formula One (F1) World Championship

You may have heard already, but Honda is partnering once again with The McLaren Group to participate in the FIA Formula One (F1) World Championship for the 2015 season.  On the McLaren website, they announced their delight about the “new multi-year Formula 1 technology partnership with Honda, which is reuniting an association that became one of the most successful and powerful in Formula 1 history during the 1980’s and 90’s.”Formula One Announcement 002

With shared responsibilities, Honda will be responsible for the development, manufacture and supply of the power unit, including the engine.  McLaren will be responsible for the development and manufacture of the chassis as well as the management of the new team – McLaren Honda.

New F1 regulations have only furthered Honda’s excitement since it will inspire improvements to both the efficiency of a combustion engine and energy management technologies such as hybrid systems, something that Honda helped pioneer years ago. Wellwood – Kids in the Kitchen/Power Up

Each of us has been affected by cancer in some way and we know how difficult it can be, which is why our community is fortunate to have Wellwood.  Wellwood is a non-profit organization that provides information, supportive care programs and support to people who have cancer, their families, caregivers and healthcare providers.

Living with serious illness in the family is one of the hardest things a person can go through, particularly when it affects children. This is especially true when the person who is sick is a sibling or parent.

Kids in the Kitchen, is a fantastic and worthwhile Children’s program at Wellwood made available to children living with serious illness in the family.  Since the program began last fall, Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC and Image Honda have been providing supervised transportation of children to and from the program to ease the burden on parents and caregivers.

This program in collaboration with Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton runs in 6 week durations for children ages 9-12, Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm.  During this time, children participate in nutritious meal preparation while being helped with homework on a personalized level in a safe environment with others in the same situation.
