The Redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Silverado

When you think Chevrolet, you can’t help but think of the Silverado.  As it’s one of our most popular vehicles here at Queenston, we were excited when Chevrolet released a sneak peek of the redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup.

“The redesigned 2016 Silverado will build on Chevy Trucks’ legacy of dependability. It will feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies,” said Joe De Stefano, brand manager, Chevrolet Trucks in Canada.

The Silverado’s bold new front end design adds aggressive horizontal elements, sculpted hoods and dramatic lighting.

2016 Chevrolet Cruze

The sporty and fun Cruze has been Chevrolet’s best-selling global car, and it’s getting a complete makeover for the 2016 model year.  The new Cruze will be larger and lighter, more sophisticated and even more efficient than before.

Packed with new technologies such as available Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and new active safety features, as well as a more spacious interior and an athletic, aerodynamically optimized design, the 2016 Cruze elevates the compact car segment.

2016 cruze front

Due in North America in early 2016, where a new, standard 1.4L turbocharged engine with direct injection and an SAE-certified 153 horsepower (113 kW) will contribute to a General Motors-estimated 5.9 L/100km highway fuel efficiency with the available six-speed automatic transmission. Stop/start technology contributes to the Cruze’s efficiency in stop-and-go driving.  The new turbo engine and a leaner architecture that contributes up to a 113 kilogram (250-lbs.) overall weight reduction also contribute to the new Cruze offering stronger performance, with expected 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) acceleration of eight seconds.

“The 2016 Cruze builds on a very successful program that introduced Chevrolet to new customers the world over,” said Alan Batey, president, General Motors North America. “We retained all the attributes that made the original Cruze a hit around the globe and built on them to make this car more sophisticated, more fun and more Chevrolet.”

Some highlights of the all-new Cruze include:

  • Next-generation Chevrolet MyLink with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability, including a standard 7-inch-diagonal screen and available 8-inch-diagonal screen (at launch, 8-inch screen only with Apple CarPlay)
  • Projector headlamps with light-emitting diode (LED) signature lighting – and LED daytime running lamps on uplevel models
  • More standard features than most competitors such as 10 air bags, four-wheel disc brakes, rearview camera and available OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot
  • New available features including wireless phone charging, heated rear leather seats and heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Available advanced safety features include Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Alert

The Cruze will also boast a new model range for North America including L, LS, LT and Premier – and a more expressive RS package.

Esthetically, the Cruze’s sleek profile is complemented by detailed, layered line work in the hood and body-side panels, contributing to an overall impression of muscularity – with an athletic stance enhanced by a longer wheelbase. The headlamps sweep back into the front fenders and an expressive, stacked dual-port grille design offers upscale attention to detail. LT and Premier models feature premium forward lighting systems, including projector-beam headlamps and LED signature daytime running lamps.

As always, safety is the Cruze’s top priority.  It features a new, stronger body structure that incorporates high-strength steel in key areas, a segment-leading 10 standard air bags, and available safety features including an expanded range of adaptive crash-avoidance technologies.  These include Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Alert.

2016 Chevrolet Malibu

When we hear someone say “all-new” at the dealership, there are several things that come to mind. New technology, advanced safety features, shiny exterior and connectivity are just to name a few. On April 1st, when Chevy introduced the 2016 Malibu, the word “all-new” took on a whole new meaning.

Longer and lighter, with more interior space than ever before, the 2016 Malibu boasts an impressive line-up of features. Its improved fuel economy offers an estimated 4.9L/100km city, 5.2L/100km highway driving. As a new hybrid sedan, the re-designed Malibu will certainly give our competitors a run for their money.

2016 MalibuAdditional vehicle highpoints include:

  • GM exclusive OnStar 4G LTE in-vehicle connectivity and wireless phone charging
  • Standard safety technologies (10 standard air bags, with available features including: Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Automatic Parking Assist)
  • All-new Teen Driver feature – this will allow you to view your child’s driving habits, speed, warning alerts and so much more.
  • New power-dense Ecotec 1.5L turbo engine with fuel-saving stop/start technology (standard feature)
  • Chevrolet MyLink with an 7 inch touch screen is standard on LS, LT and Hybrid models
  • Chevrolet MyLink with an 8 inch touch screen is available on LT and Hybrid Models and standard on Premier model
  • Chevrolet MyLink with navigation is available with 8 inch MyLink system and features three dimensional maps.
  • OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot is standard on all models (includes 3 month/3GB data trial – whichever comes first)

The styling on the all-new Malibu is similar in many ways to the 2014 Impala. It’s sleek, elongated and shows off the dual-port grille. Contemporary lighting is a strong characteristic and includes light-emitting diode (LED daytime running lamps available on LT and Premier Models). The Malibu Premier also includes LED taillamps. With so much to offer, there is no doubt you will want to take this vehicle for a test-drive when it hits our showroom floor in the late fall of this year.

Reason`s Why You Need to Consider the 2014 Buick LaCrosse

Buick has long been associated with luxury, reliability, affordability and style. It is precisely these traits that have made Buick the oldest American brand of automobile. We have seen many models come and go throughout the years, but the LaCrosse has always proved to be a favorite.

This year, Buick has updated the flagship LaCrosse, giving it a slightly new look and adding some luxurious features. The basic frame of the car remains the same, however, there were modifications made to the suspension.

In terms of styling, the front features a new waterfall grille and an update to the rear end. The 2014 LaCrosse also features new wheel designs that are sure to garner attention. The inside of the vehicle takes on a new look and feel with numerous revisions such as: new 8 inch reconfigurable TFT screen and restyled centre stack. Newly available is the option to purchase the New Ultra Luxury Package. The package provides you with semi-analine leather upholstered seats, arm rest and door panels. This leather is the same leather that is used in Aston Martin vehicles.

New and exciting to the 2014 LaCrosse are the Xenon High-Intensity Discharge Headlights that wrap around redesigned LEF Taillights linked with chrome moulding for added style.

When it comes to safety, the 2014 LaCrosse provides you with a number of options to keep you informed and alert no matter the situation. The available options include:

Forward Collision Alert: Senses when you are approaching a vehicle too quickly, alerting you with audio and visual warnings.
Adaptive Cruise Control System: Helps the driver to maintain a safe following distance.
Side Blind Zone Alert and Lane Change Alert: This feature will alert you with a prompt, which is visible in your rear-view mirror. It also alerts you when a vehicle has entered your blind spot or is quickly approaching in the lane beside you.
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert: This alert shows a view of the area behind the car on the colour touch screen. It also notifies you when an object or person is about to cross the rear of the car from either side.
