The all-new 2018 Honda Odyssey is here! It is the 5th generation of its model, originating in the 90’s. The base model (LX/EX) comes fully loaded with a 280 HP V6 engine, a massive interior with 3 rows of seating, and top of the line new 2018 technology. If you are interested in a minivan then you probably have a family or a group of people that need transportation frequently, and the 2018 Honda Odyssey is just the minivan for that. This new model maintains that safe comfortable reputation that Honda minivans have had for years. The Odyssey really is a people’s car. Convenience Comes Standard!

Convenience is something we all look for in a vehicle and now, Buick has taken this one step further with standard connectivity! The ability to stay connected, while exercising safety and following the rules of the road, has become a desired and sometimes costly feature in a vehicle. Well, we have exciting news to share with you, as Buick makes the announcement that all 2015 models will have standard hands-free connectivity with Apple Siri Eyes Free and text message alerts. Additionally, most 2015 models will also include a built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot, powered by OnStar with 4G LTE, a feature that will be standard next year on all 2016 models.

Using the Buick IntelliLink system, drivers are able to experience the convenience of a text message alert feature with a Bluetooth profile (M.A.P), which reads incoming texts through the vehicle’s speakers.  The Siri Eyes Free feature works with iPhone 4s or later and must operate with iOS 6 or later.  Whether you want to place a call, find directions, music, or hear and compose text messages, Siri is your go to vehicle companion for connectivity and peace of mind.

Available on the Buick LaCrosse, Verano, Regal and Encore for the 2015 model year, OnStar’s 4G LTE with built in Wi-Fi creates a mobile hub for passengers.  The hotspot is accessible whenever the vehicle is on or in accessory mode.  Owners are provided with a 3 Month/3GB data trial with the option to purchase additional data plans later.

In emergency situations; like airbag deployment, HondaLink Assist (with the connection of your mobile device) will contact an operator, advise them of your location and contact emergency response if needed. Honda, McLaren And The FIA Formula One (F1) World Championship

You may have heard already, but Honda is partnering once again with The McLaren Group to participate in the FIA Formula One (F1) World Championship for the 2015 season.  On the McLaren website, they announced their delight about the “new multi-year Formula 1 technology partnership with Honda, which is reuniting an association that became one of the most successful and powerful in Formula 1 history during the 1980’s and 90’s.”Formula One Announcement 002

With shared responsibilities, Honda will be responsible for the development, manufacture and supply of the power unit, including the engine.  McLaren will be responsible for the development and manufacture of the chassis as well as the management of the new team – McLaren Honda.

New F1 regulations have only furthered Honda’s excitement since it will inspire improvements to both the efficiency of a combustion engine and energy management technologies such as hybrid systems, something that Honda helped pioneer years ago.
