The all-new 2018 Honda Odyssey is here! It is the 5th generation of its model, originating in the 90’s. The base model (LX/EX) comes fully loaded with a 280 HP V6 engine, a massive interior with 3 rows of seating, and top of the line new 2018 technology. If you are interested in a minivan then you probably have a family or a group of people that need transportation frequently, and the 2018 Honda Odyssey is just the minivan for that. This new model maintains that safe comfortable reputation that Honda minivans have had for years. The Odyssey really is a people’s car. Compared to its close competitors; the Dodge Grand Caravan, or the Toyota Sienna, the Odyssey always comes out on top. GM tops benchmark J.D. Power Quality Study

Exciting news!  General Motors has won 8 best vehicle awards in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey, with all GM brands ranking above the industry average this year! Topping the chart at number 2 is GMC, followed by Chevrolet, who jumped 10 spots from last year to land at number 5. Cadillac tied for 13th and Buick came in at 15.  What is even more exciting is that GMC and Chevrolet are the only two non-luxury brands to make the top 5. David Sargent, vice president of the global automotive practice at J.D. Power and author of the study said, “GM has the best quality of any corporation in the study, the first time it’s been on top.”  To us the dealer, this is solid confirmation, based on the opinions of General Motors customers, that we are producing the highest quality vehicles out there!

JD Power Quality Survey

This annual survey, now in its 27th year, closely measures the number of problems on 2013 vehicles reported after 90 days from purchase and ran from February to May of this year.   This survey had many updates, including more consumer feedback with particular focus to newer technologies such as: lane departure warning, navigation and voice activated systems.

As Chevrolet, Buick and GMC continue to improve the quality of their 2014 models, competitors such as Ford continue to experience a slump as they struggle with the quality of their technologies.  This year, they fell to 27 in the survey from the 5th spot last year.

Pet Accessories For Your Car

If you’re a pet owner, you’ll agree that it’s sometimes challenging to go places with our four-legged companions in tow.  Whether it’s a short trip to the vet or a long haul adventure to the cottage, our vehicle is the most common form of transportation for getting our pets to and from a select destination.  This is why it’s important to travel with the proper pet accessories that will protect you, your car and most importantly, your family friend.  

At one point or another, we have all moaned and groaned about drool, claw marks or the dirt left on the interior of our vehicle from our dog.  Fortunately, these problems can be solved easily and affordably with a simple trip to your local pet store. 

 SEAT COVERS:

Seat covers are probably the most common pet travel accessory out there.  They are easy to use and will keep your interior clean by protecting your seats from, dirt, scratch marks and odors that are sometimes associated with pets.
DOG HARNESS AND SEATBELTS:

This accessory is probably the most overlooked, yet it’s the most important!  Our dogs’ safety should always be a top priority when traveling in the car.  We would never leave a child without a seatbelt, so why should our dog be any different.  Seatbelts will ensure that your dog travels safely and comfortably.  A seatbelt or harness will prevent the risk of injury in those instances where you are forced to slam on your brakes and in more serious situations; it will prevent them from flying through the window.
